Privacy Policy

PlankFall is built around a simple promise: the game runs on your device, and your data stays there. This policy explains what that means in practice.

Information we collect

No personal data is collected through the app. PlankFall has no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting service, and no third-party trackers of any kind. There is no account to create, and the app does not send your progress, settings or any identifier to us. The only request the app makes to our server on its own is the public event file described below. In App Store terms: Data Not Collected.

Information stored on your device

To make the game work, the app stores the following locally using Apple's standard UserDefaults mechanism:

• Your current level number and overall progress.
• Your settings (sound, haptics, theme, color-scheme preference).
• Your power-up inventory and daily-bonus streak state.
• An in-progress level snapshot, so you can resume after closing the app.

This data is declared in the app's PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest under reason code CA92.1 — "data stored in the same app."

Event manifest

To announce seasonal events and themes without an app update, the app may download a small public file, https://plankfall.com/events/manifest.json, at most about once a day. It is a plain request for the same file for every player: it carries no identifiers, no account or device ID, no cookies and no information about your progress. The app keeps the latest copy on your device so it works offline.

Like any web server, ours records standard request logs (IP address, time, requested file and the system's user agent) to keep the site running and secure. We don't use them to identify players, build profiles or measure usage, and we don't share them.

Game Center

Game Center is optional. If you sign in to Apple's Game Center, the achievements you earn and the scores PlankFall posts to its leaderboards (total stars, daily streak, best win streak) are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. What other players can see is controlled by your Game Center settings on your device. PlankFall does not see or store your Apple Account, and we receive no Game Center data about you.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder in Settings, the reminder is scheduled locally on your device. There is no push-notification server, and turning it off removes the reminder.

iCloud

PlankFall 1.0 doesn't sync your progress through iCloud. If iCloud Backup is on for your device, iOS may include the app's local storage in a normal device backup. That backup is governed by your iCloud settings and Apple's privacy policy, not ours.

This website

plankfall.com uses no cookies, analytics or third-party fonts or scripts. Like any web server, ours sees the request it answers (including your IP address) and keeps standard server logs only as long as needed to run the site.

Children

PlankFall is rated 4+. The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If anything in this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top and post the new version at this URL before the change takes effect in a shipping app.
